Mean Joe Green finally gets his Clio
This past Sunday when the Steelers played the Bengals, Joe Green was awarded his Clio award for a Coke commercial he did back in 1979. The commercial itself is one of the most recognizable sports related commercials ever made, and it won a Clio award for creative excellence. Joe was unable to attend the presentation back in ‘79, and the 30 year anniversary of the commercial reminded Coke that Joe never got his award. So during pregame against the Bengals this weekend, they presented him his award in an on-field ceremony.
30 years later Mean Joe Green is united with his advertising award.
