Power of Search
Did you ever question the power of internet searches and social networks? Well the government got quite curious, and what they devised was the Darpa treasure hunt. Here’s how it goes, the government hid 10 weather balloons in secret locations across the United States, and would give $40,000 to the team that can find all 10 balloons within 9 days.
Now here is what they didn’t expect, a team from MIT would find all 10 balloons in only a few hours, while only using the internet and social networks. Maybe it’s not so surprising, because Social Networks are powerful tools.
