Are you a writer, blogger, copywriter, or someone who just enjoys to write but experiences difficulties in your craft due to the various distractions of everyday life? Well, the folks over at Herraiz Soto & Co. have developed an ingenious program to recapture that long lost concept called concentration. “Ommwriter is a simple text processor that firmly believes in making writing a pleasure once again, vindicating the close relationship between writer and paper. The more intimate the relation, the smoother the flow of inspiration.”

Augmented Reality- live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are merged with (or augmented by) virtual computer-generated imagery – creating a mixed reality. After reading that definition, you would think this technology would only be found in science fiction novels or 50 years in the future. However, in actuality this technology is here today. Apple’s iPhone 3Gs has already utilized this technology but that’s merely the tip of the iceberg of the endless possibilities and potential AR has in store for the future. Check out this very creative and almost hypnotic window installation designed for Maison Hermes in Japan. Tokujin Yoshioka, the mastermind behind this concept, says this installation was based on a window display he had presented in 2004. This new set up includes a restructured design, along with an appearance from a famed Japanese actress. Yoshioka had this to say about the piece, “On designing a window-display of Maison Hermès, I intended to express people’s daily ‘movements’ with a suspicion of humor. There are moments when I perceive a hidden presence of a person in the movements born naturally in daily life. I created a design where one can perceive someone behind the scarves as if life were being breathed into them. The window is designed with an image of woman projected on to a monitor. The scarf softly sways in the air in response to the woman’s blow.” You can check out more on this here.
While doing the daily morning routine of scouring around the advertising blog-o-sphere, one thing that caught my attention on the SwissMiss blog was the Social Media Mullet. Created by Steve Badowski of Carrot Creative, the website is composed of Steve’s Linkedin (clean cut, business, networking) and Twitter (party, friends, fun stuff) updates metaphorically into a mullet. Pretty clever!
