Your Ad Here
There’s a new way to advertise, and who is in charge of it? Apple, of course. iAds are expected to start popping up on your iPhones later this week. This application will allow companies to send advertisements to iPhones. A recent article in AdAge discusses that for some companies this could take weeks, even months, to put together. It’s not cheap either…”most iAd-vertisers are paying $1 million just to be on the platform, and some are paying upwards of $10 million…” So, who’s on the iAd? AT&T, Best Buy, Chanel, Citi, Disney, GE, Geico, JC Penny, Liberty Mutual, Nissan, Sears Holding Co., State Farm, Target, TBS, Unilever. But don’t worry, you have the choice of opting out of receiving iAds.
Could this take advertisement to a new level? Or, will it end up being a pain — like receiving emails in your inbox that get completely ignored and deleted?
