Pepsi: Making a Difference in the World
Pepsi wanted to make a difference. No, not in their product, but rather using their product to make a difference in people’s lives. So, in 2010 they launched the “Pepsi Refresh Project”. The Pepsi Refresh Project is designed to empower people with great ideas in communities across the nation.
This is a brand who is using community service and the power of giving back in order to make their product successful…now that’s ‘refreshing’. Pepsi took over 20 million dollars out of their marketing budget in order to fund consumers ideas in moving the world in a better direction. Some of these ideas include: healthier diets for children in schools, giving grants to communities in need, housing projects, funding teachers, the ocean water, etc. Consumers can vote on which project they would like to see Pepsi help fund. Check out this video to see what Pepsi is doing for communities all across our nation and see if it makes you want to support and buy their product…my guess is that it will. Also, click here and vote for the idea you want to refresh.
