Tattoo Projects Produces Rockstar Results for the Charlotte ADDYs


Since Tattoo Projects was named the 2012 AAF Charlotte ADDY Creative Partner, our Charlotte ad agency has been busy crafting the campaign for the event.

One of our primary goals for the 2012 ADDY Awards was to increase professional and student submissions. To do so, Tattoo Projects created the “Achieve Rockstar Status” theme to celebrate all of Charlotte’s top dance, music, fashion, art and pop-culture rock stars. This year, the Charlotte ADDY Awards isn’t just THE show for the best ad industry talent — it’s a celebration of top influencers in the Charlotte creative arts scene.

To increase student participation in particular, Tattoo Projects established a student/agency partner program. This program enables local ad agencies to sponsor and cover the cost of student submissions. The partnership program relieves students of the financial burden of submitting work and helps agencies establish relationships with up-and-coming local talent.

Call for entries closed last week and the final tally yielded some powerful results.

This year, the Charlotte ADDYs saw a 200% increase in company/individual participation, 60% increase in total number of entries, and a 1,200% increase in student ADDY participation from 6 area universities.

The 2012 Charlotte ADDY Awards are shaping up to be a kick ass celebration, and the entry results are just a preview of the magnitude of this year’s event.
