RadioHead is conducting a musical experiment that takes takes guts and experience — both of which they have in spades. The band is allowing consumers to “pay what they want” for the downloadable version of their album, “In the Rainbows”. Buyers can pay zero or whatever they please up to £99.99 (about $212) for the album in MP3 form. We are very excited about this kind of aggressive move in the topsy-turvy music world. We were psyched with Prince’s bold marketing maneuver, and we’ll dig watching this one unfold.

Current TV hit a major milestone last month when it became the youngest cable network to win an Emmy — for outstanding achievement in interactive TV. As of today, the user-generated-news website launched by Al Gore and Co. just two years ago has a new look, a new focus and a new domain: Current.com. What started out as an online community for aspiring and up-and-coming filmmakers to gain exposure and network with each other by creating videos on topical issues has evolved into a broader, user-generated approach to current events for tech savvy 18- to 34-year-olds. Most of us know current thanks to their VCAMS (viewer-created ad messages); it’ll be cool to see what’s next.

The campaign utilizes the large digital screens in Hong Kong International Airport, to let travelers say goodbye to loved ones by using their mobile phones to post photos of themselves with goodbye messages on the big screens. Adidas has my dream pop-up store in Paris. It boasts a hi-tech virtual mirror which captures the feet and legs of the customer, then merges them with images of shoes. Shoes are equipped with RFID, so you can find out all about them without having to talk to anybody. Bottom line: the pop-up is a badass technology-junkie’s bon mot. Enjoy.
