Hoover T-Series

DSC001902

Christmas came a little earlier for us at Tattoo this year.  One of our newest clients, Hoover, was feeling very generous and sent us six of the new T-series vacuums.  This top of the line vacuum utilizes Windtunnel technology as well as a retractable cord.  Not to mention that it is cool looking as well.  We appreciate the nice gesture from the people at Hoover. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Hidden Persuaders

grei190.jpg

Good for a chuckle: Mark Greif’s NY Times essay, “The Hard Sell”, about Vance Packard’s book, “The Hidden Persuaders” (1957).  Greif says, “Packard had tried to warn Americans of a new mutation in advertising. Powerful admen were working to tap the irrational in the consumer mind, using the applied psychology and sociology supported by the government during World War II.” Hmmm…. so that’s what we do. :)

Would you drink beautiful?

picture-85.png

You’re an affluent woman with an education. You enjoy your Starbucks, your job, and the random trip to your gourmet grocery store. Your makeup probably doesn’t come from Rite-Aid, and your hair-color and skin-care regimes rank right up there in importance alongside your house payment. You open up Elle and here’s what you see. Okay, so what do you think? Would you buy this product? Reply to me directly at buf...@tattooprojects.com.

It’s Like, Pepperoni Rules!

Hungry Howie’s has enlisted yours truly to create branding TV for the 20-state pizza franchise. Hungry Howie’s is a major competitor in the pizza marketplace. Their claim to fame is a special trademarked flavored pizza crust. First up, pepperoni speaks out, “Flavored crust has nothing on me!”

Project-basis is the new Black!

adweek_logo250?É‚Äî80.gif

Cool new study by the Corporate Executive Board’s Advertising and Marketing Communications Roundtable. Here’s the nutshell of what they came up with: “The traditional, static model of a single ad agency or a fixed roster of agencies working on a brand is being supplanted by an open-source model for some marketers. In this model, marketers hire numerous disparate marketing partners?¢‚Ǩ‚Äùsometimes on a project basis?¢‚Ǩ‚Äùto leverage their special talents and expertise as needed, according to the report. The payoff, it adds, is communications that are more personal, speak directly to the consumer and do a better job of boosting brand perception, penetrating new markets and impacting sales.”
